In 1991 the World Wide Web was launched. It has developed into a far more complex network then ever imagined. Internet marketing has become a science. To assist our clients in their website searchability we utilize web 2.0, including search engine optimization, social networking, pay per click, along with Google analytics.
SEM is Search Engine Marketing and refers to paid marketing efforts online. This generally refers to PPC or Pay-Per-Click campaigns. With PPC campaigns you create “ads” and under each ad you determine keywords or keyword phrases that you believe your target demographic would use when searching for your services in a search engine. You set a daily budget and how much you are willing to spend per keyword. You pay when a user clicks on your campaign. This is a highly effective way of having your website found and services ultimately used. There are many areas to a PPC campaign that will have to be monitored and constantly adjusted.
SEO is Search Engine Optimization and refers to the organic ranking of your website. When we speak of organic ranking it simply refers to unpaid. Many elements come together to allow for higher organic ranking of a website. SEO and SEM work hand in hand together. In addition to SEO we utilize social networking sites. This will allow for strong internal and external linking while at the same time allowing you to reach your current and potential clients on another level.
